All About Gold
Everything you need to know about gold in jewelry
At Verde Diamonds, it's all about quality and timeless beauty. That's why we exclusively work with 14 karat and 18 karat gold – the perfect balance between luxury, durability, and comfort.
What does karat mean for gold?
Karat indicates how much pure gold is in an alloy:
- 24 karat = 100% pure gold (too soft for jewelry)
- 18 karat = 75% gold + 25% other metals
- 14 karat = 58.5% gold + 41.5% other metals
Why do we choose 14kt and 18kt? Because these alloys are strong enough for daily wear, yet they retain that rich, warm appearance of real gold. Perfect for rings, bracelets, necklaces, and earrings that last for generations.
The different colors of gold
Gold is versatile. By mixing it with other metals, beautiful shades are created:
- Yellow gold – Classic and timeless, the warm color everyone knows.
- White gold – Modern and elegant, often finished with rhodium for extra shine.
- Rose gold – Romantic and refined, with a subtle pink hue due to copper in the alloy.
At Verde Diamonds, you will find all three colors – so your jewelry always matches your style.

Why gold?
Gold is not only beautiful, it is also a smart choice:
- Always retains its intrinsic value
- Globally recognized and tradable
- Jewelry can last for generations
A gold piece of jewelry is therefore more than an ornament – it is a piece of security and an investment that retains its value.
